• Provide and improve the NourishIQ service

• Analyze App performance and fix bugs

3. Health Data

We take the privacy of your health data seriously.

3.1 Storage

Your health and nutrition data is stored securely on encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data.

3.2 AI Processing

Your food logs and health data are processed by AI systems (Anthropic Claude) to generate personalized recommendations. This processing occurs on secure servers.

3.3 Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, we access only the data categories you explicitly authorize (workout data and calories burned). We do not write sensitive health data back to Apple Health without permission.

4. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

Service Providers

• Cloud hosting (Replit)
• Email service (Postmark, Resend)
• Payment processing (Apple App Store, Stripe)
• AI processing (Anthropic)
• Analytics (crash reporting only)

All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting hello@trynourishiq.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of request, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

NourishIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13 please contact us immediately.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

9. International Users

NourishIQ is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the US your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted database storage
• Access controls and authentication
• Regular security reviews

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

We will notify you of material changes to this policy via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before changes take effect.
